week.02:day.008: batteries?

Both of my analogs were dead, and my digital was getting weaker. At a jewelry store, the girl working there, which by the way was really cute, about 21ish, from somewhere abouts southwestern asia, but that’s neither here nor there. She tells me for battery, I say its too much, for me atleast. Upon me walking away, she says , and I say I have 2 watches, its still too much, then we get down to for 2 of analogs. So I’m like fine, give her the watches, tellin her I only need the analog batteries to be replaced. She says about 30 min, and I was thinkin…I’ll just go take it to Fossil another day. So she gives them to some older lady….20 min later older lady comes back from other store, and says my ironman was difficult, etc. So that’s for the big battery, dollar for the small battery and for the other (my Fossil)…total of .
Immediately I was thinkin, forty-who? and I only really needed 2 batteries. I told the lady, the girl quoted me ….and thats when the older lady proceeded to tell me that the (2032?) was etc. I then said, you can go ahead and put my old batteries back in, and she told me there was a labor charge. Thats when I told her that the battery in actuality was only worth maybe -6, plus labor…and at one point in time I did work retail, (Best Buy & Dakota Watches) so i wasnt going to pay , especially when I was quoted a price. So the older lady started gettin angry and yelled at the younger one, in some language…tell her she doesnt know what type of business she’s running…and Ithink tells the girl she has to pay for it, oops, then leaves, then the young one gives me this look of, "can you help me out".
And I’m thinking, after you two tried to bamboozle me? I felt like I was bring scammed. Perhaps If I were weaker man, her beauty would have got the best of me, perhaps she just did make a mistake in quoting prices first?

Granted it is only a watch battery, but had this been in an field that I am unfamiliar with, I would have been got! On that note…now i have to fix my car’s front end. Ive got uncles and friends that know the auto repair business
