The Southwest Illinois Division of United Way of Greater St. Louis held its 2013 "Hollywood Premiere" Campaign Kick Off event at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville, IL, on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Attendees arrived in style complete with a red carpet and an agency "Walk of Stars." More than 120 guests enjoyed a selection of local restaurant samplings, a United Way agency presentation from Villie Appoo, CEO of Girls Scouts of Southern Illinois, a campaign video showing on the big screen, and were the first to hear the announcement of this year's campaign goal. The 2013 Campaign Goal for the Southwest Illinois Division of United Way is ,860,000.
