I’m having a difficult time looking through all my vacation pictures—I can’t believe we are back at home. Bring on the crippling depression!!!
We left Denver Wednesday after lunch after taking a tour of the Denver mint. I watched the mountains disappear in the rear view mirror and didn’t feel much like participating with the boys in the "what’s that smell"/"who made that smell" game that is so popular/childish during long car drives with my gender. I grumbled alot about how I was going to miss all the photo opportunities that mountains, coasts, and national parks bring. We got off I-80 near Joliet and started taking the "back roads" to Kankakee for the last half hour when we stumbled across this field of sunflowers near Wilmington, IL. Someone is looking out for me—the weather has been 10-12 degrees below normal since we got back. It’s been beautiful! I went back this morning for a few shots….
I’m excited about my vacation pictures and will be posting more of them when they don’t make me sob like a little girl!!!
